Meet the Author
Laurie Lewis
Laurie Lewis is a retired magazine publicist who specialized in
marketing. She also recorded a CD of her singing original songs.
Several of her close friends collaborated with her by offering
their musical talents on instruments. Today, she enjoys sitting at
her piano keyboard, worshipping God while singing and playing.
She lives on a small acreage with her husband, three quarter
horses (Tynnlie, Bentlie, and Princeton), one miniature pony
(Princess Minnie), two family cats (Paislee and Peyton), and two
family dogs (Braydie and Marley). She and her husband have
two grown daughters (Carrie and Kirstie), with families of their own. They
have been blessed with one granddaughter and five grandsons. Living just
minutes away from them is an added bonus. She loves hosting family dinners,
birthday, and holiday gatherings. After suffering a life-altering stroke in 2023,
God gifted her with the inspiration to write the Patches series. Her desire is to
encourage and challenge children and adults to become more thoughtful and caring toward others.
